Information Sessions on How to Get a Degree, Diploma or Certificate or
Upgrade Your Skills Online in Huntsville

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – Contact North | Contact Nord invites residents to stop by their open
house drop-in sessions to learn about their services and online learning. Sessions are
taking place at the YMCA Employment and Learning Services, located at 60 King William
Street in Huntsville over the next three months.


The monthly open house sessions will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday,
April 27, 2018, Friday, May 18, 2018, and Friday, June 15, 2018. No appointment is
necessary and all are welcome.


Huntsville and area residents have direct access to information and local support services
they need to earn a degree, diploma or certificate or upgrade their skills without leaving
their community.

Contact North I Contact Nord online learning centre will be there to talk about the more
than 1,000 online programs and 18,000 online courses students can take from Ontario’s
24 public colleges, 22 public universities, 9 Indigenous institutes, 76 district school boards,
200 literacy and basic skills and training providers, and 50 skills development training
providers.


“We will be sharing information about our services to help students succeed in their
studies, including information on programs and courses, use of web conferencing,
videoconferencing and audioconferencing distance learning platforms to connect to, and
participate in, their online programs and courses offered and taught by the training
providers, use of computer workstations and high-speed Internet access to complete their
fully online courses and supervision of written exams and tests,” says Brushey.

finding the right online training options. Having them come here to Huntsville means that
individuals do not have to travel to Bracebridge to gain access to their fantastic services.
